What We Do

Our Mission is to provide donor education while educating high-risk groups about kidney disease. We also aim to create avenues for kidney patients and their families. We advocate and collaborate to improve kidney health, while encouraging others to Save a Life and Be a Donor. We curate successful outreach programs, catering to populations affected by kidney disease, through Get Involved initiatives and scholarship opportunities for students.

Our Programs

Volunteer

Through our ‘get-involved’ initiatives, we strive to make serving populations and communities effective through the execution and implementation of Dialysis Drives, community events, campaigns, and educational presentations that cater to people affected by CKD.

patient education

Our liasions partake in webinars and missionary work to serve as voices for kidney patients, donors, and their families. We communicate with lawmakers at the grassroots level and beyond. Efforts are supported through urging legislators to fund research, protect kidney patients, participate in summits, and raise awareness for CKD.

advocacy

We are patient-focused and strive to offer resources for kidney health, one kidney at a time. Our emphasis is early detection, prevention, and education. We share knowledge and wisdom about our experiences by encouraging others to know their family history. We identify, motivate, advocate, empower, and support patients by providing a platform for patients to adequately share their stories, or testimonials. In supporting these families, we hope to encourage people and lead them towards a compliant lifestyle as they select treatment options that optimize their Quality of Life.

Scholarship

Your partnership fuels our mission. We strive to offer annual scholarships to students affected by CKD with desires to further their education, empowering them to carry out their purpose, regardless of their circumstance, or clinical diagnosis, empowering them towards a better Quality of Life.

Leaving A Lasting Impact

While most people are born with two kidneys, studies have shown that it actually only takes one to combat CKD, and one to save a life as a living donor. We’re born with two, but only need one to survive and lead a healthy regulated life. In conjunction with donor education and decade-long partnerships with a variety of kidney-specific organizations, our Get Involved initiatives make serving populations and communities effective by implementing successful dialysis drives, community events, social media campaigns, and educational presentations that cater to those affected by CKD. Our initiatives began as early as 2007, when our Founder had her kidney transplant at Duke University.

volunteer

Join us in volunteering by assisting with holiday dialysis drives, organizing marathons, and promoting fundraisers, to celebrate patients, their families, and healthcare champions, annually.

Come on!

lobby for legislation

Asking lawmakers to co-sponsor legislation have encouraged sustainable change in attitudes and behaviors, while ensuring equal access to coverage and care alongside the promotion of CKD research. Join us in supporting these efforts.
